Lanthier Winery Production
Room
Our wines are handcrafted, not mass produced. From pressing the grapes
to bottling and labeling the Cellarmaster has his hand (literally) in every
process. His attention to detail, to quality and customer make
Lanthier Winery one of Indiana's most successful wineries.
Cleanliness may be next to Godliness, but it's also a strict demand Chris
places on all equipment. You'll often see him sanitizing and personally
inspecting the interior of his wine tanks.
In
2004 owner and Cellarmaster Chris Lanthier extended the wine production
facilities to accommodate the winery's rapid growth and need for increased
wine production. All Lanthier Winery wines are handcrafted using centuries
old techniques. The production facilities showcase the blend of art and
science used when creating Lanthier Winery's award winning wines. From
small 60 gallon barrels to state of the art "killer chiller" 1000 gallon
stainless steel containments with insulated, temperature control plastic
surrounds, Chris Lanthier tenderly tends to each years new vintage.
Lab analysis is an ongoing process in quality wine production.
Careful attention to the handling of juice and wine at every step guarantees
nature's nectar will be enhanced not destroyed as the fruit progresses from
vine to juice to wine.

"Creating award winning wines is not enough, creating wines with unique
flavor and style is not enough. You must do all those things and more.
To create a wine for which people are happy to pay, to create a wine that
persons seek out and cherish, to create a wine where your customers become
your friends and they are proud to share and serve my wine, that is enough."
