Comfort Food

I love to cook and I love to cook comfort food when it’s cold outside and there’s snow on the ground.

One of my go to recipes is Beef Stroganoff in the Slow Cooker: I put a pound of beef stew meat in the slow cooker with a can of French onion soup and a half can of

water, one table spoon of Worcestershire sauce.

Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 5 hours.

Once it’s done stir in 4 ounces of cream cheese and serve over hot cooked egg noodles.

I also like to make Drop Biscuits to go with my Stroganoff, which are very easy to make.

I take 2 cups of flour, 1 Tbsp. of Baking Powder, 2 tsp of sugar a ½ tsp of salt.

Mix all the dry ingredients together then add a ½ cup of melted butter and 1 cup of Milk combine all ingredients together in a bowl. You can add shredded cheese to the mixture if you like. I usually add a cup. Combine all ingredients in the bowl and once mixed I drop by the tablespoon on a nonstick pan.

Bake at 425 for 10 to 18 minutes according to the size of your biscuit.

So make sure you stop by Lanthier Winery and get your favorite bottles of wine to either have with the

meal or a bottle to drink while you’re setting back watching your favorite TV show. Let me know how it

turns out when you stop in at Lanthier Winery bring one of your recipes to share with us.
